These compact lilacs are neatly trained, each with a single straight stem and a lollipop-style head that bursts into flower with masses of delicate, pale purple blooms from May. The scent? Simply gorgeous, it?s sweet, nostalgic and enough to stop you in your tracks.

But the real magic of ?Palibin? is the manageability. Unlike traditional lilacs, which can grow into unruly giants, these stay neat and tidy, maxing out at around 2m tall. They even deliver a second flush of blooms later in summer, especially if deadheaded after the first display.
