Habit Evergreen

Better known as Western Red Ceder, Thuja is a fast-growing evergreen with a narrowly conical habit. Flat sprays of aromatic, glossy green leaves provide plenty of texture interest all year round.

Western Red Ceder is low maintenance and easy to care for. It thrives in full sun in moist but well draining soil and prefers to be sheltered from strong winds. Water well until fully established, after which Thuja is relatively drought tolerant. prune twice a year, once in early spring and again in late summer to maintain the hedge's neat size and shape and promote fresh new growth.
